Biography
Karen is an US-trained physiotherapist who graduated with Master in Physical Therapy in 2001 from Northeastern University, Boston, USA. She then moved back to Hong Kong and had worked in the Hong Kong largest private medical organization for more than 10 years. She is currently a visiting lecturer at the Baptist University and is doing her clinical practice in a private clinic in Hong Kong.
Karen is dedicated in promoting health and wellness at work for more than 15 years. She has worked with multi-national corporates in Hong Kong such as leading airlines, investment banks, law firms, public authorities and non-government organizations in developing and managing occupational safety and health programs. She conducts on-site risk identification, provides risk control advice and health and wellness training to workplace design consultation. From project conception to protocol design and implementation, Karen plays a crucial role in enhancing the well-being for many corporate clients.
She is also invited by various organizations to conduct health talks and wellness workshops which are well received by large audience; she is frequently invited by corporate clients to conduct exercise training workshop or train-the-trainer program in enhancing employees’ physical fitness and reducing repetitive strain injuries at work.
In 2018, Karen became a partner of the specialist clinic SINCERUS Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation Centre, where she is also doing her clinical practice. At the same time, she introduced a range of up-to-date equipment into SINCERUS for tailor-made solutions in her treatment, which they find it very helpful.
